Driver's Log 4

Got a ton of new data and manuals for the ship from tech support. They're not used to an older driver like me that is comfortable logging some suit time to fix something minor. As such, got to learn some more about the imagers on this new tug, and just how insane they are.

Just got a wire from the NH shipyard. They just finished up with a new Constellation class space liner. Supposed to be massive. Biggest star cruiser yet. 42 decks and 7400 guest suites. Supposed to weigh a cool 2.2 mil metric ton plus, and that's without the reactor. Asked if i had the chops to pull it to the finishing facility at Mars. Payout is more then I'm use to, and if all goes well, they will put me on a regular rotation for the heaviest of the star liners. Big lifts mean big pay.

So guess where I'm headed in the am?

That's right, New Hol...shdhsjsjeofjd

-are you sure its working this time?-

>Yes.<

-you're sure?-

>Yes sir. Diagnostics confirm. Check the record.<

-Okay, I see it logging. Thanks-

>Any time sir. Have a good day.<

Well that was quite the technical glitch. Got caught in the wake of a rogue solar flare. Only knocked out my logs. Testament to the Gamma Class. Took'em two standard days to fix just that one system, and all down to a bloody fuse that popped when the flare caused a surge along the fly-back transformer. Lost half my last log, thankfully not the job though. Just proves my point that there ain't no such thing as maintenance free.

I'll tell ya one thing, that Constellation Class cruise ship is something to behold. Six times the size of any planet bound cruise ship, and at least twice the size of the Nebula class. Totally dwarfs my tug. I didn't think we could even begin to move it, but move it she did. Gave the grav-drives a good and proper workout too, yet never even got close to a warning.

I do need to name her at some point, and Beast is coming up as a possibility, but I'm also partial to Kaira. Somethin to sleep on.

Looking at the systems, it seems that everything is back to normal. The warranty paid for the repair, and a cool 6K got a surge protector installed. 6K because this one is designed to shield the electrical from solar flares, and pipe the surge directly to my tugs reactor. Gives a bit of a boost. heh heh.

Welp I'm off to bed, been a long day and I think I'm gonna watch Robin-hood Men in Tights. Feels like a comedy night
